Please send one email each to your state rep and senator to ask them to help get the Safe Communities act to get a favorable report from the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee

Also ask them to pass the Work and Family Mobility Act

There are a couple of other Senate bills relevant to people incarcerated, including those held by ICE, but I am worried about too many issues in one email
Senate 1372: An Act Relative to Inmate Telephone Calls. This bill would implement no-cost phone calls. Currently, a private company charges high rates for calls people inside jails make to families and lawyers.
Senate1379: An Act to Strengthen Inmate Visitation. This bill would strengthen visitation to incarcerated people so families can stay more connected. These more humane visitation policies are especially important after months of separation due to lockdowns. Under this bill, parents, children, spouses, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and friends could reconnect and sustain that connection without fear of not being added to someone’s limited visitor list or being turned away from visits.
