Why are hair nets OK, but not masks?
Jul. 7th, 2020 09:31 amA number of the mask-refusers are not just refusing, they are trying to keep other people from wearing masks. There was video a couple of days ago of a woman tearing down the masks for sale rack at a Target, for example (it was the short movie equivalent of a selfie, with the perpetrator's own narration) I have started to wonder how they feel about food preparation people wearing hair coverings, often cheap-looking hairnets. I have seen beard nets. I don't recall hearing of boycotts or anything against such food establishments, because it's true of all of them. At some point, some health department decided it would be yucky to have a hair in food, and the whole country agreed. (not going to bother to look up the history right now). So the feeling is that a hair (which happens anyway) is terrible but it's OK to have someone drip snot into food? That's all I can conclude. This is not very coherent, but it's been bugging me since I thought of it.
