August 3, 1980 + 40
Aug. 3rd, 2020 06:38 pmWe were married in Lincoln, forty years ago today. We usually go out to the spot, at least briefly, on our anniversary. The last time I posted about it was 2016

In the meantime, that tree (where we stood for the ceremony) has gone, but the house is still there. We look a little different

We had a spread-apart picnic today on the grounds with several relatives and friends. We did a viewclix visit with my mother, with the iPad propped on a lawn chair so that different people could talk to her sequentially without getting too close to each other. Grand-nephews (under duress?) had made cards. It was all lovely. Arthur said "what shall we do for the next forty?" I said "live one day at a time."
