bird (and squirrel) berry week, not day
Sep. 27th, 2020 10:18 amNeighbors' dogwood tree attracts birds, usually many, usually removing all the berries from the tree in a day or two

this may be the first time I mentioned it https://lauradi7dw.dreamwidth.org/2007/09/27/
The year, there was one day in which a bunch of black birds (I may donate to the Audubon Society, but I can only recognize a few types of birds, and these are not they) came and ate, but nothing like the usual flock. I also noticed a day or two of squirrel berry eating. Were the other birds chased off by the squirrels? Were they self-isolating in some other neighborhood? Whatever the explanation, the berries have been consumed, but not quite in a frenzy.
Update on the 28th - lots of birds have appeared in the tree today, even though most of the berries are already gone. Did the mystery signal get messed up?
