They're trying to get out the vote
Oct. 31st, 2020 05:29 pmI know many people who have been sending postcards and texts, and phone-banking. I have not, because I find it irritating to get those calls and texts. I've found it endearing how many people are trying to get my father to vote, though. See last paragraph here:

He voted in 2016, and is still on the voter rolls. The online ballot trackers presumably show that my mother's ballot has been processed, but his has not. He has received a postcard, an entire hand-written letter, and many phone calls. One of the callers identified herself as Sioux (didn't catch which kind) and asked that he vote for environmentalist candidates. I have to let them down gently, thank them for calling, and try to cheer them up by saying that my mother and I voted. S lady was surprised that voting early was a thing.
Today, not terribly far from where I am, this happened
