I didn't realize it was a challenge. The second photograph looks older, technically-stylistically, as well as the scene it depicts, but unless the first photo is very recent, I doubt I could run down a specific year. Did you take the first one?
But the cool thing about the windows in the brick buildings in the two photos is that both of them have the parallel stone strips above and below. That hasn't changed.
Whole former brick tenement sections of the neighborhood were built in the late 19th century, I think, and lots are still there, many of them renovated into pricey condos. The Old North Church and another couple of buildings in its area are brick from the 1720s. There are very old few wooden buildings left.
