AT&T decided that my perfectly good flip phone needed to be retired. Yesterday. They sent me something that *looks* like a flip phone, albeit a little larger than the old one, but I think it secretly is a smart phone with all the things I've been trying to avoid - it connects to wifi so it can do updates and requires me to set up an account with KaiOS so they can track me. I don't know what I did wrong from the get-go, but it obligingly is reading everything to me out loud. I can't figure out how to make it be quiet. It is not back-compatible with the old phone, so I will have to type in every single phone number for the contact list. At this point I can receive and make phone calls and maybe texts, but it's nowhere near ready to be a helper. I feel that several of my plans for the morning can't happen until the phone is ready, but I am periodically screaming during the process. I know it's a miracle of modern technology, but phooey.

If I were deliberately choosing something frustrating and time-consuming, I'd try to memorize part of this:

I don't know anything about the show, but I know that I like alliteration.

Perry has a flip phone from T-Mobile that seems to really be a flip phone. But it's T-Mobile so you have to switch everything at great effort.
