Not a starving student
Sep. 6th, 2007 09:50 pmBut what about people who are? The Physics book/solutions manual/coupon for registering my response pad (all shrink-wrapped together) cost 200 dollars. The response pad cost more than 20 (I forget the exact amount). It cost another 20 dollars for the privilege of giving most of my personal information to McGraw Hill so that I can submit homework online (which is required), and the only way to do it was with a credit card. It's possible to pay a fee directly to register the response pad (if you don't have the book), so I suppose one could get by with only paying 60 or 70 dollars if people were willing to share a textbook, but zowie.
