annual bird to dogwod tree day
Sep. 27th, 2007 11:55 amThe next-door neighbor's dogwood tree always produces massive amounts of bright red berries. Every year, a flock of (don't know bird species name) descends upon it and eats them up, usually in less than a day. I have no idea how the birds choose the day, or where they are the rest of the time (I don't think we usually have dozens of those birds in the neighborhood, unless they are otherwise quite discreet). Today's the day.
