Things I saw today
Apr. 12th, 2026 06:09 pmBy the time ringing was done at Old North, it was 1 PM. I knew from publicity that the demonstration Beep baseball game at Fenway park was scheduled to be noon - 2. I arrived at 1:55. I saw the last out. A bit of a let-down, but I got an idea of the setup, anyway. A classmate at PTA school used to volunteer, so I had heard a description, but didn't see with my own eyes. Now I have seen it. Some of the players are blind, others have their eyes covered to even things out.

It's about the end of this year's nasturtium time at the Gardner museum.

Lots of people were taking photos at courtyard level, but there was a second floor window that was open, with the predictable line of people either taking family photos or selfies, or taking in the view. This is the latter

There were also two kids (maybe elementary school age?) sitting on the floor near the window, sketching. Nobody was bothered by this, even the guard.

Date: 2026-04-13 04:37 am (UTC)That's lovely. I always associate the Gardner Museum with winter. I haven't been there in years regardless of season.
