For completeness

I did another weird ICE-related chore on Thursday. I drove to pick up a duffle bag of clothes and shoes to go with a person who is being deported in a week or two, getting the stuff from his family in Lowell (he is detained in the Plymouth jail). Then I dropped it off in Burlington at the ICE building, from where it supposedly will get onto the same plane and meet him in Ecuador. They don't allow much else in the bag - if I were sending someone to a poor country from which he left, I would get him a new phone and stuff so that he could call me, but they don't allow any electronics.
