I have been sitting here, reading blogs by British mothers of small children (including one who home educates, as she says, her triplets). I don't remember how I got there, but it was accidental. What I have not done is cut the grass or done the laundry or worked on my presentation about rotator cuff injuries (short version - everything is circular. A mis-shapen acromion will cause wear and tear on the supraspinatus tendon, for example, which will cause inflammation, which will make it take up more space and be more likely to be worn. Unless it's the bursa being inflamed. Or the infraspinatus. Or the person is a baseball pitcher and did something unsuitable with his or her arm. Or the muscle nerve isn't working right and there is atrophy and that lets the humerus go where it hadn't oughta. Or it has nothing to do with the four muscles that form the cuff at all, but it's a different injury in the neighborhood and it's too much trouble for the doctor to figure it out. Or for all I know, it's caused by staring at the screen until one's butt is sore and one's eyes go blurry, but the books don't seem to mention that). (even shorter version: impingement).
