what a random place my mind is
Jun. 9th, 2011 11:35 amIn the 1980s, I participated in Amnesty International's Freedom Writer program. They would send information monthly about three people, and one wrote letters to the various governments complaining. Yesterday the name of one of them popped into my head. It was Sara Cristina Chan Chan Medina. I can't remember any of the other letter-writing subjects, but possibly the poesy of her name was what made it stick in my head. I don't know why it made its way to the surface. I looked her up, and there is no mention of her since the time she (was) disappeared in 1989 in El Salvador. It's sad.
