I went to the South Station farmers' market to hear the opera singers

While there, I bought a wonderful sandwich from the Clover food truck http://www.cloverfoodlab.com/?page_id=2 plus some kale and broccoli and a peach and some apple cinnamon bread, which was very sweet. Soon after, I felt like I was flying from the sugar and made plans to jog to a Zumba class, doubly using up the glucose, but by the time I got almost home, I started to crash, and the only thing I wanted to do was have a nap. I've swung back up to almost normal now, but it's too late to do either planned activity. I'll default to the previous plan, which is to type up the notes I took by hand in class today. After years of total power point domination, I've decided *not* to print out the slides for Neuro, but to revert to the ancient past and write everything down instead. Realistically, though, my handwriting is terrible, and if I'm going to review from my notes, they'll need to be legible, so I'm planning to convert them to Times New Roman. It will still use less paper than printing out the slides, because she has set them up in three per page handout form as PDFs, and they can't be made into a more paper-saving format.
Tying it all together: I learned today that patients just coming out of a coma are sometimes given a small amount of sugar to increase their alertness.

I never feel sugar rushes or crashes, despite the fact (or perhaps because of) that I pretty much continuously inhale candy and other sweet things.
