Shall I violate the implied copyright of someone who has violated the copyright of the A.D.A.M. educational videos people? Shall I lie about my intention to do so? Is it OK if I cite both sources? I have not yet given up on the video project (although defaulting to pamphlets is starting to seem more attractive), but the whole thing is driving me crazy. Lots of people are visual learners, and seeing an animation of a brain flopping around inside a skull really is the best way to understand what's going on. I like the video on this page the best
http://www.cdc.gov/concussion/index.html
but can't figure out how to take it out of the page and put it into my little movie.
I found this one on youtube. I'm sure the person who posted it snagged it from the ADAM folks.

I have learned how to take it from youtube and get it converted by Zamzar to a format that windows movie maker will accept, but I really don't want to lie about doing so by clicking the convert button. argh.

You are using it for educational purposes; you are not making a dime from it; credit it's use and be happy.

The current culture of copyright restriction has become completely over the top. If you aren't using it to make money; if you aren't calling it your own creation, it's covered under fair-use.

Just credit the author - if he infringed, that's his problem.
