it's odd what annoys me

no props to the people who would claim that everything annoys me. It's really not true. The case in point is the BBC series "Merlin." I don't mind that Merlin is the same age as twentysomething Arthur. I ignore all the magical stuff (which is central to the plotlines, although not as important as the relationships among the characters). I am basically OK with Agravain as Arthur's uncle instead of nephew. What I didn't realize until I was looking up someone else in the IMDb was that one of the recurring bit characters is Geoffrey of Monmouth. Wait, what? When I thought the character was "random archive guy" I didn't mind him, but naming him G of M is just too much.
