     Richard Nixon resigned, being the only president of the US to do so, thus far. After work  I put on a dress and went to a friend's parents' house in Newton to watch it on TV, and then we went to Cabot's for ice cream sundaes to celebrate.  Cabot's is still in business, to my surprise, but instead of hauling all way over there, we walked to Lexington Center for small cones from Rancatore's in commemoration.    We stopped in a park on the way back to watch the space station pass by overhead.
