Bored again
Aug. 19th, 2015 02:43 pmI learned after the previous post that there is an annual Boring Conference

Article about it in the London Metro

James Ward's blog (I like boring things)
iamjamesward.com
He is the author of "Adventures in Stationery," which is on my to-read list. A blurb says "combining telling details, peculiar facts, a love of humour (sic), hubris, and brimming with curious stories, this book will change the way you look at your desk forever." In these cases, I think by boring he means boring to people who don't pay attention (my interpretation).
Last night at Tai Chi I was reviewing something I supposedly have known for many years, but was making mistakes. The instructor showed me what I was supposed to change, and said to keep working on it. He said something about boring.
Laura: I don't think it's boring to try to get it exactly right.
Instructor: I didn't mean boring in a *bad* way.
In that case, it seemed to mean mindful repetition.
