lauradi7dw I had the thought of going through the file cabinet in the attic to find the his autographs (plural - one from the time I stood outside the stage door at the Picadilly Theatre in 1991 and the other a response to a fan letter), scanning them in, and sighing over them. I turned out to be too lazy for that. It's nice to know that they are there, though. I had the odd urge to dress up as a character from one of his films as my Arisia costume*, but that seems unworkable. I have a wool overcoat, but it's gray, not black (Truly Madly Deeply). The obvious choice for a science-fiction related con would be the character from Galaxy Quest. Maybe someone else will do it.
*My actual "costume" plan was to wear my Cunning Hat, on the theory that while I don't look especially like Jayne Cobb, there seem to always be Firefly folk around. Also, it covers my ears.
I don't know that I had ever seen David Bowie and Alan Rickman in the same sentence before today, but now they are together, all over the place.
