At the fashion show in Milan last week. I wear leggings fairly often to dance or under a long skirt for warmth, but they will never be a substitute for regular trousers because of the lack of pockets, among other things. If you tuck in a shirt it looks bunchy. And where the heck are his socks?

That is also an issue for a lot of women's pants. Most of mine at least *nominally* have pockets, but I have pretty small hands and they don't really fit.

That's one of the reasons many of us wore men's trousers when we were your age. The gender neutral Gap khaki's that were popular briefly a few years ago also had good pockets, as do cargo pants. The current girls' and women's pants that are meant to be worn at the hips, fairly tightly, don't really have space for decent pockets.

More skirts have decent pockets now than did years ago, but one can't count on it.
